2017 Charities

Dulwich Park Fair are proud to support a range of local charities and Southwark Council organisations making a difference in our area.

Southwark Libraries will have information and activities for children, as will HomeStart Southwark, who help young families cope in Southwark.

Dulwich and District U3A (University of the third age) operate groups from the Rosebery Lodge in Dulwich Park so come and find out more information on the activities they run for the retired. Link Age Southwark, who provide support for older people in Southwark, will have a fundraising stall as will The Healthy Living Club, who run a club for people with dementia and their carers in Stockwell.  Southwark Dementia Action Alliance will have leaflets and advice on dementia too.

Dulwich and Peckham Rotary Club are joining with The Stroke Association to offer free blood pressure tests and will bring the shelterBox tent, used for emergency housing.

Dulwich Picture Gallery Friends will have a large second book stall as will Dulwich Players, a local amateur theatre group, plus silly games for children.

Lambeth and Southwark Diabetes UK will offer leaflets and advice while Arts against Abuse will raise awareness about domestic abuse through art.  Come and paint the ‘Bad Karma Impala’, a smashed up car used to symbolise that there is hope after experiencing domestic abuse.

Finally we have The Sreepur Village, Bangladesh which is a UK based charity that funds and runs a women’s and children’s village in Bangladesh. Do check out their stall selling hand-made scarves and accessories by the women.
